Driving change and innovation

Kate Sheringham, SMSF Product Manager.

It’s been an inspiring few weeks here at Class. Amongst our clients, partners and regulatory and professional bodies, positive change and innovation have been visible from all angles.

Just a couple of weeks ago, a number of our clients took us through some of their business processes and challenges. In addition to providing insight, we were also looking to identify new and better ways of doing things. The level of knowledge gained was invaluable, however what really impressed us was our clients’ obvious desire to shake up the industry, grow their business, and deliver the best possible service to their clients.

This shared desire for innovation and improvement will certainly bring about some great new features that benefit all parties involved in the SMSF value chain.

Building a strong partner ecosystem

We’ve also been speaking to a number of our partners who are constantly improving their services and venturing into the unknown to deliver innovative new solutions. Building an ecosystem of partners with shared values will make sure that Class can deliver efficiencies to all aspects of your practice and be part of an integrated ‘whole of business’ solution.

Latest events

As always, there are lots of great events happening in the industry. We recently attended the Chartered Accountants Business Forum, which provided a great opportunity to catch up with clients; interact with interesting new people hungry for change; and see some great presentations.

Highlights included the tech debate with Adam Spencer and the presentation from futurist, Chris Riddell, titled ‘Unleash your future business by embracing Digital Disruption’. Both sessions stimulated some great discussion - you can view Chris Riddell's video below.

We also recently attended a number of forums which have explored the government’s newly announced Digital Transformation Office. The themes covered were digital transaction delivery; focus on end user needs and connectivity; ease of use and access; and establishing a ‘tell us once’ whole of government approach. It will be interesting to see how this initiative evolves over time.

It’s set to be a bright future

With innovation, integration and a customer focus evident from government to end user and those in between, we have some exciting times ahead.

With such change comes great opportunities, which we look forward to exploring with our clients and partners.
